Calvani's defensive workload leads the Analytics choices, with Ramón's aerial involvement and Nuno's attacking contribution offering alternatives.

Serie A GW7 Analytics Waivers: Four checks

Calvani leads this Analytics shortlist because of the defensive actions behind his involvement, while Ramón offers another option who repeatedly clears danger and contests the ball. Maldini is the attacking alternative. Nuno provides a different route from defence, with a substitution risk and an awkward opening fixture to weigh.

These are GW7 pickup decisions after GW6 of 2026/27. TFF's ownership sample does not establish availability in your league. Roles are forecasts from recent use, and a strong 4–6-manager squad can pass rather than release a better player.

Gabriele Calvani: Priority defensive check

Frosinone's Calvani is doing defensive work that can recur within a match without a goal being involved. His TFF card records 5.7 recoveries and 3.3 aerial wins per 90 minutes. That gives Analytics managers a specific profile to investigate, with different actions creating opportunities rather than a single attacking event carrying the case.

Five full appearances and one of 74 minutes support an expectation of regular defensive involvement. The last-three average of 6.5 is above his wider 5.7, but there is no need to make that rise the whole argument. His priority is based on the recorded workload and whether it adds something your current defender lacks. Keep a current defender whose contribution is stronger.

  • Fixtures: Sassuolo (H), Atalanta (A), Lecce (H). Two home matches frame the away trip.
  • League size: Priority consideration in 8–12; compare stronger alternatives in smaller leagues.
  • Claim tier: Top priority here for a clear defensive upgrade.
  • Drop: An expendable rotation defender, while preserving positional cover.
  • Risk: A different match can change his workload; neither the action rates nor recent points are guaranteed.

Jacobo Ramón: Solid defensive claim

Ramón gives Como an aerial and clearance contribution worth examining in this Analytics pool. His TFF card records 4.2 clearances and 3.2 aerial wins per 90 minutes. That is a reason to look at the work he is doing, rather than making a clean sheet or a goal the only route into your decision.

His six complete appearances support a likely starting role with substantial minutes. That opportunity matters, but it is the action profile alongside it that makes the case. A last-three average of 6.6 is above his overall 5.4, so keep the expectation measured. He is a medium claim, with urgency dependent on a real gap in cover.

  • Fixtures: Fiorentina (A), Sassuolo (H), Torino (A). Two away trips discourage a one-game chase.
  • League size: Useful in 8–12 for a genuine upgrade; well-covered smaller leagues can pass.
  • Claim tier: Medium priority, rising for an immediate problem with unreliable cover.
  • Drop: An unused defensive reserve, rather than a productive regular starter.
  • Risk: The higher recent average can fade even when his starting involvement remains substantial.

Daniel Maldini: Attacking alternative

Maldini offers an attacking choice when adding another defender would miss your squad's real need. His left-sided and No 10 involvement is the football reason to investigate him. The scoring run adds interest, but an Analytics recommendation still needs a comparison with the attacker you could release rather than an assumption that goals will keep arriving.

Recent use supports regular involvement, with substitutions part of the expectation. His latest outing lasted 69 minutes, so plan around an attacking contribution that may come in less than a full match. His last-three Analytics average of 6.5 supports measured interest. Put him ahead only for an attacking need.

  • Fixtures: Monza (A), Bologna (H), Roma (A). Consider both away games rather than the home fixture alone.
  • League size: Most relevant in 8–12; smaller leagues can retain stronger attacking alternatives.
  • Claim tier: Medium priority; move ahead of defenders only for an attacking need.
  • Drop: An expendable rotation attacker, retaining the cover your lineup requires.
  • Risk: Substitutions and a cooling scoring run could reduce the value of his recent returns.

Nuno Tavares: Free-agency watch

Nuno offers an attacking route from Lazio's defence. His TFF card records 1.5 chances created per 90 minutes, alongside a season contribution of one goal and two assists. That makes him a different Analytics option from the clearance-and-aerial profiles above, rather than a player who should be judged only on whether Lazio prevent a goal.

His recent use supports a plausible start, but the latest appearances of 84 and 75 minutes keep early removal in view. Juventus away is another reason not to force the claim. The attacking opportunity warrants investigation, but don't discard reliable cover before that away trip. Keep him as the free-agency option.

  • Fixtures: Juventus (A), Parma (H), Sassuolo (A). The away opener encourages patience.
  • League size: Mainly 10–12; selective in 8, with little urgency in smaller leagues.
  • Claim tier: Wait for free agency; medium in a deep league only for a clear need.
  • Drop: A redundant rotation defender, keeping alternatives for the fixture run.
  • Risk: Shorter appearances reduce time for both creative and defensive involvement.

The decision

Calvani is the strongest defensive claim, with Ramón the alternative if his contribution better suits your options. Nuno is the preferred free-agency check if available and useful; Maldini takes precedence for an attacking need. Review how waivers and free agents work, then check your league's player pool before releasing anyone.

Serie A GW7 Balanced Waivers: Choose well

Maldini leads the attacking claims, while Ramón's defensive contribution and Cambiaghi's difficult fixtures demand different decisions.
